Pennsylvania Division on Visual Impairments


Our Mission:

  1. To assist students with visual impairments achieve their greatest potential by optimizing social, recreational, educational, and vocational opportunities.
  2. To collaborate with other organizations on issues relating to visual impairments, and to disseminate such information to its members.
  3. To support the goals of the Council for Exceptional Children and its members.

What's News

As of December 31, 1997 there were 75 members registered in the PA Division on Visual Impairments. This makes PA-DVI the largest of the DVI subdivisions. Total national DVI membership stands at 925. Subdivision President Ted Kresky has been hard at work making contacts with other organizations involved with people with visual impairments, as well as making efforts at reactivating PA-DVI.

At the recent PACEC Conferencethere were several presentations of interest to those who work with students with visual impairments..

Those interested in helping to fulfill the mission of DVI by furthering the awareness of visual impairments should contact Ted. In addition, DVI is in need of officers. Contact Ted if you would be willing to help in any way.
